Bonnie and I met Oct. 7, 2008. I adopted her from Central Texas Dachshund Rescue. Before she was rescued by CTDR, she had been living with a family whose house was foreclosed upon. They moved out, leaving their 2 dachshunds in the back yard. I adopted Bonnie and the other dog, Clyde, was also rescued by CTDR and adopted by another family.
Bonnie is happy, sweet, smart, funny, and stubborn. She loves rides in the car and walks around the neighborhood. She lives to hunt bunnies. If you are a person or a dachshund, she will love you. If you are a large dog, she will bark at you. If you are a bunny, gecko, or June bug, she will eat you.
BONNIE'S BLOG:
I just got back from a little mini vacation at my grandma's house. Mom had to go out of town and grandma sweetly drove 3 hours to come get me, kept me at her house, and drove me 3 hours back to my house so I would be there when mom got home. (Grandma is really sweet). I had fun because grandma has 2 doxies, Roxie and Ally. Plus, mom's sister was also there visiting grandma so there was a lot of hugs and kisses for me. I hardly knew mom was gone at all!

Bet you're glad mom's home. Although, it sounds like you had it made at Grandma's house!!! I think that storm was like us sweet girls...we can cloud up and rain if we have to but we don't want to hurt anyone. Harley's been givin' mom real fits this week so Jazz and I are getting away with murder! Oh so good to have someone else to blame. It's been pretty warm here but we're toughing it out. Hey There Miss "B"!!!
Sissy Koni is fitting in pretty well! She even has our dog park friends' Moms and Dads letting her sit in their laps. We told her to look real cute, give them those sad puppy eyes....and, voila!!! Instant lap time!!! She's a quick learner! She scored some lap time and several puppy snuggles....she's a natural! She did, however, fall into the pool. Silly puppy....just doesn't know what the edge of a pool is. Hope you and your Mom are staying as cool as possible. It's been a HOT one!!! Sending you wet Tropical Storm wiener kisses. WOW, I was just reading in the papers..said "BONNIE" was scaring all the boats out of the Gulf Waters! I said "That's my Bonnie!" Then Mom tells me it is just a big storm they named after you. That's quite an HONOR! I love your profile pic, such a beautiful smile, and your "Bonnie Bag" at your feet! You had to be going someplace FUN! Hope you are staying cool pretty girl. My Mom comes home on TUES--bringing treats and toys! Happy dance time in Michigan...LOVE JOE
