Anal Glands - Yuck! (read) One of our doxie's has a continual problem with infected anal glands. We have to clean them almost weekly. She has been on multiple rounds of antibiotics as well as pain pills. The Vet said the next step is to have them washed out, which I understand is not a fun thing for them. glands My doxie has a problem with not expressing her glands on her own, they have not gotten infected, but I take her to the groomer about every 3 weeks, for a small fee of 11.00 dollars vers the vet at 45.00.
