Adopting Can Certainly Be Rewarding!!!
Two of my three girls (Cyndi and Macy) were adopted. I consider myself lucky that they were both surrenders, so they did not have any horrible experiences to influence their behavior. They are both super sweet young ladies. I know there are many horror stories of rescued individuals, but there are many rescue groups (listed on the DD resources page) and many caring individuals (several DD members - Foxy Doxie Rescue, among others) that rescue, rehabilitate these wonderful little dogs and educate individuals about dachshunds. I wish I had a large place so I could do some fostering. Though, I would probably be one of those who would keep them all!!!
