Rendered meat in Food
What ever the pups are eating one should make sure there is no rendered meat in the food. Rendered meat is road kill, any meat that is diseased and not fit for human consumption. It is also known to be animals that have been euthanize. Yes its true, cats and dogs that have been put down go to rendering plants from shelters and are made into dog food. The problem is the drug they use does not break down in the rendering process but gets more potent. This goes into our furbabies food. Most of you use food that does not use rendered meat but most commercial food does. Check with the manufacturer. Excellent book on this is "Foods pets die for" by Ann N. Martin. A scary, but worth the read book. It opened my eyes alot. Also after the melamine murders who can trust companies who use ingredients from other countries, especially China.
