New Doxie Owner
Hi there! We just adopted a 7 year old, male, mini named Willie. We never had a doxie before so I really could use some guidance.
He seems so nervous and just runs back and forth when he is out of his crate. For the first two weeks that we had him, we carried him around a lot to make him feel comfortable but now I think we created a monster!! He doesn't want to go in his crate anymore and barks when we put him in there. Last night, we let him cry/whine for 20 mins until he quieted down. Please let me know how we can help him to make him feel more relaxed in our home without completely spoiling him.
