Fireyicevamp writes: Riley is a rescue from the shelter we volunteer at. From what we know, he was originally a stray, then taken in by someone for about a year or so. He was kenneled most of the time due to the owner being on the road a lot. He was finally brought to the shelter when the owner's mother felt Riley deserved more than he was getting. My husband and I have two cats that we love dearly and he's always wanted a corgi, so when we found Riley and learned that he basically ignored cats, we were thrilled. He's slowly adjusting to our place, but has some understood separation anxiety that we're working through and some severe submissive qualities. This is great for the cats, but not when he's around other dogs that want to play and he doesn't know what to do. He also had fifteen teeth removed within the first two weeks of being with us; his upper jaw was starting to rot so his breath was putrid, but he's only three years old, approximately. Poor little guy.
