where was it?on her paws or somewhere else. my doxie gets them between her fingers and gets a big abcess. the vet said it was most likely an ingrown or infected hair follicle. same rx: warm soak baths w/epsome salt then AB ointment and cover with sock so she won't lick it

Abcess
It is on her shoulder. This morning I cleaned it again and this time there is a hole. I can see in the wound and squeezed out more fluid. It continues to ooze watery blood. I have packing strips from the hospital I work at and will pack the hole to keep it open and draining.
