Someone no longer could keep me because they were going to college and the family already had 3 dachshunds. 04/09 update. Yippee.....I trained mommy and daddy on how things will be run in this house. I have decided I do not like the potty spot they picked out. The front lawn is now my toilet. Hey...I now go to the front door and let them know when I have to go out. It was a compromise and I do not potty in the house. Mommy is coming along well with her off leash training. It took some time but she finally has started going off the trail path into the brush to help me sniff out varmin. I actually have never caught anything but mommy gets a kick out of watching me dig and grunt. Summer '09 I caught a red squirrel. It bit me in the snout and on the shoulder. Update 09/09/09. I am now mature and have to earn all of my treats. They just love when I do circus dog and hold a cookie on the top of my nose. I can spin, sit, laydown, rollover and fall down when they go BANG!
