Kaylie is our youngest Dachshund. She is 11 months old. We got Kaylie because our Dachshund Haylie ran away. When we told our breeder, she told us that Haylie's mom just delivered another liter on the same day that Haylie left and we can have first pick of the girls in the liter. So we adopted Kaylie and named her after Haylie and our first Dachshund Kodi who died a year before from heart failure.
Kaylie is very special to us. She actually has characteristics from both Haylie and Kodi even though she has no blood relation to Kodi. She is also our loudest Doxie and doesn't know when to pipe down! She has beautiful big brown eyes and a feisty personality. She also has this triangle black spot under her chin that we call her "Soul Patch!" We affectionately call her Floppy because she kinda flops everywhere! My husband always says it's like she doesn't have a spine. You pick her up and she just sort of flops!
Both Kaylie and Savannah are crate trained and they eat their meals in their own crates. Kaylie knows her meal times and starts whinning 5 minutes before mealtimes. She runs to her crate and bounces until her bowl is placed in front of her! She has us well trained!

Her breeder sent me pictures of her every couple of weeks until we picked her up. She was a good girl on the flight home and the passengers and flight attendant loved her!
