08/20/2008 - I was abandoned at a coastal South Carolina Humane Society at the 'young' age of 10. For six long months no one wanted me due to my age. Things were beginning to look bleak until Dachshund Rescue North America (DRNA) saved me and paired me up with my new mom. I have really blossomed in my 'furever' home, and Mom can't imagine life without me. Thank you, DRNA!
**UPDATE 01/23/2011**
I just wanted to update my page to say, "Wow! DailyDoxie.com has really grown!" When I first joined in 2008, there were less than 100 doxies and now there are close to 1,000. That's pretty cool!
I will be 14 (possibly 15) this spring and really love my forever home. Mom gives me lots of belly rubs, treats when I'm good, and I even have my very own car seat for backseat driving! My little 'sister', Sara Dean, can be a bit of a pest, but I have to admit that I love her very much... especially when she licks my paws and gives me snuggles!

The Rainbow Bridge is filled with love and wagging tails of our beloved friends, all waiting for us. They left us with so many good memories that they will never fade from our lives.

Remembering Special Friends
So much time has passed since we were all friends on Daily Doxie. It is nice to see Josie as today's DOTD. Adopting senior dachshunds is such a wonderful family addition because senior doxies rock. I know you and Herbie and my sweet adopted senior June, and good friend Dewey, are all together waiting on the other side of the bridge until we can all be together again some day.
