Maggie-longhaired , Daisy- smooth red, Dooley-smooth red male (crossed rainbow bridge 6/28/2008). Dooley was my first dachshund that I got when I started having my cancer treatment. He became my focus and the love of my life. After I was well when he was about 4 he started getting ill and we put him on meds but his health deteriorated over the years so I had to put him down.(worst day of my life) We got Daisy to keep Dooley company but when he started getting sick he was not playful. So then we got Maggie and I now just have these two adorable princesses. Daisy has a sock fetish, I wonder if any other owners dachshunds have this thing for socks!

Horray for our local Rochester doxie's! How nice to see you all again. Congrat's on being our DOTD today. Love it when us locals get big billings :) On a side note, our little Lily had to have cervical surgery on Wed. She is down at the Cornell Companion Hospital in Ithaca, NY. She ruptured a disc in her neck. We receive updates on her twice a day and is doing well. Our house is empty without her here.
