Update July 17 2013: Susie Pearl is now the head chica at Ladybugz Lowriderz. We are a small in home hobby dachshund breeding program. We have have had a litter a year for the last 2 years and between November '13 to February '14 we will be expecting 2 litters! Susie being spayed since 7 months old is Auntie Susie to all puppies and LOVES puppies!
Susie Pearl...She was given to me by my husband for my birthday. I have always wanted a red Mini Doxie. My grandma Pearl and grandpa Ed always had a red doxie named Susie. So our Susie is named for those Susie's and my grandma.
We found Susie's breeder online and she actually wasn't to far away (abt 50 minutes).
Susie has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives!
Susie Pearl is a special girl...when she was 6 months old we found out she had a genetically compromised immune system which caused her to get Demodex Mange. But 3 treatments and getting spayed took care of it. She now has the softest smooth coat most people have felt on a smooth coat dachshund.
She has also suffered from severe pancreatitis which is what causes us to to start feeding a prey model raw diet.
She is now a well traveled Doxie. In February of 2009 she flew in cabin with us to California.
In October of 2009 we added a baby black and tan to our family her name is Stormy and she is Susie's adopted sister now!
We hope to fly with both girls to California to visit Susie Pearl's sister Sammie.

Susie and Ham
Susie Pearl became like a mama to Ham when we brought him home from his mama at 8 weeks to live with us and his Daddy Freddie. Ever since then they h ave been very close. Since Susie never was able to have puppies due to her compromised immune system we think their bond is VERY special!!

When we bought our house we called Susie Pearl's breeder who has become a friend and asked if Lilly was done breeding. She was and was spayed and got to come live with us.....They are very happy together even though they didnt see each other for Susie Pearls first 4 years

Sisters so much alike!
We visited Susie Pearl's lil half sister Sammie. We were amazed at how alike the girls are! Sammie in the foreground Susie Pearl in back.They are Sisters through their Mama Dog Lilly who we adopted from ger breeder when she retired. Sammie is also half sister to our Willie Mae through their Sire Devon from H2k Dachshunds.
