UPDATE Jan 18 2011: We are going to pick up our new lil brother/ boyfriend for Stormy on Saturday. His name is Freddie and he already has a Daily Doxie page!
UPDATE August 8, 2010: We just got back from a trip to see Susie Pear's sister Sammie. A good time was had by all! Susie Pearl had a small reoccurance of pancreatitis while we are in California....but is doing much better now
UPDATE MAY 15, 2010: Susie Pearl was just admitted to the icu at Texas A&M Vet schools hospital for what appears to be pancreatitis. They say it could have killed her. She was throwing up blood. She will be there til at least Sunday. Please pray for her!
Susie is home now from her stay at Texas A&M's vet hospital...she has pancreatitis and now is on a low fat high protein diet. No more people food and only low fat treats!
Susie Pearl...She was given to me by my husband for my birthday. I have always wanted a red Mini Doxie. My grandma Pearl and grandpa Ed always had a red doxie named Susie. So our Susie is named for those Susie's and my grandma.
We found Susie's breeder online and she actually wasn't to far away (abt 50 minutes).
Susie has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives!
Susie Pearl is a special girl...when she was 6 months old we found out she had a genetically compromised immune system which caused her to get Demodex Mange. But 3 treatments and getting spayed took care of it. She now has the softest smooth coat most people have felt on a smooth coat dachshund.
She is now a well traveled Doxie. In February of 2009 she flew in cabin with us to California.
In October of 2009 we added a baby black and tan to our family her name is Stormy and she is Susie's adopted sister now!
We hope to fly with both girls to California to visit Susie Pearl's sister Sammie.

Love it!
Just thinking you are all too precious and cute and wish we could jump thru the screen to snuggle you to pieces. I love your clothes and hats and costumes. No way is my Mommy gonna get me into any clothes. Heck, I even hate wearing my harness! You really deserve extra belly rubs today. Happy DOTD! Hugs, Lily Belle
