Hello! This is Kasper's Doxie page!
Kasper is a Blue Dapple Mini dachshund that has gotten too big for his britches... He is 17 lbs already!
Kasper came from a breeder in Belfair Washington named Kathy. We found the cute little guy online and could not resist him. We were just moving into our new house and it seemed like the perfect time to get a wiener!
We found out at about 6 months of age that Kasper has a hair loss condition called CDA or Color Dilution Alopecia. It only effects his blue hairs not the silver or tan ones. So he has a weird hair pattern where some colors grow normally and the blue hairs are short and brittle and fall out easily. It doesn't effect him other than he looks odd and it cold in the winter and burns in the summer.
Kasper shares his home and people with 4 cats (Malaki, Kizmet, Austin, and Cypress) a Corn snake named Izadora and a tarantula named Persephone. He loves the kitties! His best furiend is Roddy. He is a Corgi that belongs to the inlaws. Kasper spends his free time these days socializing foster kittens for the Whatcom Humane Society. He is the best kitty dad ever!
