Where to begin....got a call about a dachshund that needed a home or a foster home immediately, because they had no room. Since Reisa had her rabies tag on from 2008 from New Jersey, I was able to trace most of her history after contacting the original breeder.... she's a 10 yr. old longhair black & tan.....the orignal breeder is a German lady that lives in New Jersey and she breeds dachshunds for hunting/field trials only....a German man bought her when she was trained at a year old....and she became quite the field champion....but then a 2 years ago, the man had to move back to Germany, so he returned Reisa to the breeder, who in return adopted her out and somehow, she ended up homeless in Ohio.
So here she is....she's a very sweet doxie girl....guess we will find out more about her personality in the days to come. The present state of the economy is wreaking havoc on pets....all the rescues I've been talking to...are just overflowing with pets and so many are senior pets. I'm praying that the economy takes a major turn...soon!

This is the most beautiful family of doxies I can ever imagine. Does your mommy own you all, or does she foster doxies? She must be a talented photographer and fashion designer. Life around your home must be overflowing with love.

What an absolute beauty you are. Your past history is just too sad. I really do not understand how a sweet little girl could have ever ended up homeless. I am so happy you have a super home with lots of love now. My mom said she would live under a bridge with me before she would ever let me go. Your dresses are beautiful. I have some harnesses that I have outgrown that your mom is welcome to if she would contact my mom. I think I even have a couple of "T" shirts that I have not even worn. You have such a large family it is amazing what your mom does.
