In 2003 Mama and Papa brought me home when they were a month away from having their first child. I did my part in keeping Mama comfy, I kept her belly warm, slept around her neck, and licked her tears away when labor was too much. Later I kept the baby company and, as he grew, I taught him the rules of the house.
Lest you get the impression that I'm a perfect puppy I'll set the record straight. One of my many nick names is "Guena the Destroyer", I have a habit of eating things I shouldn't. On one occasion my family thought I wouldn't survive a gastronomic treat. Thankfully I proved them wrong, and just had my 7th birthday. I also enjoy barking to excess, eating poop & used tissue, barfing under my parents bed, and generally sticking my nose where it doesn't belong.
I get to sleep with Mama every night, and play with my little brothers every day. Sometimes I get to fly to visit the rest of the family, chase squirrels (I've never seen one here), and play with my fur-cousins. I move a little slower now (just a little), and I have intermittent back problems, but all in all I love my life.

Yiur story is similar to mine...mama brought me home about 2 mo before she had her baby. I'm 7 yrs old and have back problems too. I had surgery when I was 5 because I had no use in my back legs. It was tough but my mama took good care of me.
