Thai is our 13 year old DRNA foster baby. He suffered from IVDD four years ago and his surgery was successful. he does have an outrageous gait when he walks, and he does have arthritis, but he is very active. Barks the entire time we are gone, and sleeps with Ginger and Chip in the big bed every night. Beautiful training- he goes to the door when he needs to go outside and if I take too long, he will scratch the door to remind me. He is very fast and the kitchen is properly patrolled- no enemies lurking there!!! he eats the prescription Hill's CD that we have Chip on, and actually will eat any kind of food. Loves treats, and has us trained as to his treat times, which are 8-9, noonish, and then 3 to 4 PM. Meals are at 6 and 6 precisely, or you will answer to him. Thai is also a Master Chef, as he helps me with every meal prep. The garbage cans must be kept off the floor, or you will hear a crash and then find him deep inside, looking for the dreaded garbage can badgers. He has adapted well to being part of a dachshund pack, and allows me to pick him up for couch time. He rides well in the car. He must be picked up for the couch and the stairs, and he endures this gracefully.

You and I could be cousins. I am a 12 yr old black and tan. I see you are a foster. You are so great I hope you get a forever home. It makes me sad that anyone would have ever given you up. Be sure to use the senior thing to your advantage. Maybe your Dad could make (or get) you a ramp so you could get up and down the couch. It would probably help your pals. Please keep me posted on your progress. As good of help you are in the kitchen I have a feeling your great foster parents may need to keep you around for awhile. You deserve a vote of a 100 BONES.
