Baxter was born in Georgia in 2006. He is about 25 lbs and definitely what you would call an "A" type personality. He can be extremely stubborn, persistent and relentless. He will drive us crazy for hours to play (especially at night...his witching hour is around 6PM) "Throw the Rawhide Chip", and when he finishes his chip, he will stare my husband down and bark his high pitched piercing bark until my husband breaks down and gets up and gives him a new one.
As a puppy he was very mischevious, and attempting to assert his "Type A" personality, he would sometimes nip. Fortunately, he outgrew this habit.
He is our "first born" dachshund, and we wouldn't change a thing about him.He's a great watchdog, and incredibly smart!
In the mornings he likes to sleep in. As an early riser, I am always the first one up. I come downstairs to take Maya and Molly out, Baxter doesn't budge. But as soon as he hears Daddy moving around upstairs, he wakes right up, so that he can give daddy his morning greeting, and face washing.
He is a great brother to Maya and Molly!!!
