Oh my little Tahlequah! She is the best (well, second best) thing to happen to our family. Her arrival was through the local shelter AND everything just fit! I saw her on Petfinder. I raced home to get my daughter and just happened to bring our other Doxie, Beauregard, with us. We get to the shelter and the sign said they are closed but my daughter said "Mom, let's try anyway" and LUCKY US! it was the shelter's late day. We all meet including Beauregard, everyone got along just fine and then we found out that someone else was also being considered for Tallie's new home. Oh no! She is ours! We had to wait two full days before we got a phone call from the shelter saying she was OURS! She was about a year old then, not spayed, very underweight and very, very skittish (still is somewhat of men). She has made our little family more complete, so happy and so filled with cuddles and love. We are so glad she is ours!
