Riley is a 8 year old, tweenie black & tan short hair dachshund. He is the best dog, he loves to travel, having been to Florida, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and other spots with mom and dad. He loves to play "chase me" and "wild running weiner" He is has more love to share than any dog we have ever known. He is most content sitting on mom or dad's lap under a blanket, just hanging out. He loves the beach, long walks, car rides and playing with his toy. Everyone that meets him, loves him. We are happy to have him in our family and would be so lost without him.
update: Last year Riley suffered a back injury and had to make an emergency trip to the Vet School at NC State in Raleigh, NC for a MRI and possible surgery. Luckily he wasn't a surgical candidate and after 6 weeks of rest and restrictions, he is doing fine. However his lifestyle has changed dramatically, no longer having the run of the house when we aren't here. He would like to remind his fellow doxies and doxie parents to watch their weight, no jumping and get plenty of exercise so you have strong back muscles.
