Maggie was born June 6, 2007. She is definitely overweight at about 11 pounds - she has lost her waistline after getting spayed. We are trying to take some weight off but she is such a lap dog that she doesn't care about exercise too much. She would much rather cuddle, cuddle, cuddle. Her idea of a great day is eat, sleep, lay in the sun, eat, sleep, potty, lay in the sun... Oh, did I say eat, sleep, lay in the sun? Oh, her sleep does get interrupted by the door bells on those pizza commercials and she jumps down and runs to bark at the intruders :)

In memory of Maggie's old buddy, Roxi. We all miss her! This was taken at Olde Glory Days Weiner Dog Race. Roxi was the Grand Champion for the first two years - 2006 & 2007.

Oh boy do we have weight issues and personality in common. After 4 years the only fix for me was a couple wks ago when my yorky pal caught a mouse and grandpa showed it to me. I have lost 2 pounds in two weeks now because mom takes me to gma & gpa's in the rural area and I don't stop hunting all day. I was a complete lap dog and would never do such a thing before. Everyone is having lots of fun watching me and I have caught 1 little gopher and a mouse. I'm as proud as a peacock and getting trim too! Hope you find something that works for you too! Macy

Hey--I got a sweater just like yours...from Wal-Mart! My Mom thinks it is Oh-So-Cute on me, but it looks so much better on you! I would rather just be the Doxie Dude and go Naked - but you know how "MOMS" are. I love the way you have mastered the "sit-up Beg"! And, girl, being 11 lbs is no where near plump! I'm a 16 pounder and think I am pretty sleek if I say so myself. I think you look GREAT...JOE
