I found a tick on my baby... (read)
Last Thursday night we found a tick on Slinky. We tweezed it out and it was dead. Immediately we put the Front line on her and made sure she was okay. However, sine then I have noticed a bump on or around, very close to the site where we plucked the tick from. Should I be worried? It doesn't seem to bother her. I have been feeling it numerous times throughout the date to see if it is getting bigger, or smaller. It seems like a hard mass. Any dieas? I said if it does go down or feel any better I will get her into the vet by Wednesday. I just don't know what this could be....

Homemade Tick Spray

We live in NH and I pull about 3-5 ticks off of Petunia a week. I made a tick spray from a recipe I found on the National Forestry Website. It is made with vinegar, eucalyptus oil, water and skin so soft bath oil. I spray it on her everyothe day. She does not get as many ticks on her. Also there is a great little device called the "Tick Twister" it looks like a tiny crow bar that slides under the tick and you just twist it. The entire tick comes out easily. Petunia's hair did not grow back on some spots where we removed the tick but she always has a bump where the tick is removed.
