Washing machine incident....

When I first got Dixie, she was only one pound and fit in the palm of my hand. She would always lay on the back of my neck under my hair. It was the 3rd. day that I had her and I was doing a load of laundry and she was on my neck. When the rinse cycle came on I got up to add some fabric softner and when I did she just jumped off into the washer and the water took her under. She was trying to swim out of there. I emediately got her out and took her to the kitchen sink to rinse the softner off her so it wouldnt break her skin out. It was not funny then but looking back now it was comical looking. Believe it or not she gets her bath every Friday and loves it. I was afraid that would make her not like a bath, but it didnt..
