DOXIE BAD BREATH (read)
MY GUY REBEL HAS HORRIBLE BAD BREATH, ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE A SUGGESTION ON HOW TO FIX IT, WITHOUT SPENDING THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS GETTING HIS TEETH FIXED

Bad breath


Hi there. Unfortunately, you'd have to bring him into a vet to see what the cause is. You can try Greenie treats or there are water additives that might give you some relief for the breath, but we were informed that Doxies tend to have bad teeth genetically. Ours is only three (estimated by the shelter) and he had fifteen teeth removed since his gums were beginning to rot through to his sinus cavity. This was partly due to not receiving the best nutrition in his previous home I expect, but the vet said they are prone to bad breath.

You could also try to brush his teeth; there are dog-specific toothbrushes and toothpastes. Check your local pet retailer or definitely a vet.
