I picked up Nellie from our local humane society about 5 years ago. I love this dog more than any family member or any girlfriend I've ever had.lol. she works me over pretty good. And as any dachshund owner knows she think she's the toughest and biggest dog around..other than being stubborn, she's the sweetest thing. She brightens my every day.

I'm so sorry to hear of Nellie's passing in such an awful accident! It's so difficult to move on when you lose a loved one as Nellie was. She has left a paw print on your heart that will never fade. RIP sweet Nellie.

Thanks everyone. This makes my day unfortunately Nellie passed.
Thanks everyone. This is bitter sweet. Nellie and. I were riding my bike a couple years ago. I had a little front pack shed ride in. We were going thru a crosswalk and we were hit by a car.. it shattered my elbow. And tore off my bicep..and unfortunately killed Nellie. To go from enjoying the day to laying in the street and your dogs dead was a very hard thing to go thru. Especially when someones delinquencies at fault. It's tough but life goes on. I now have a little male Doxie named Dash. He's a smooth haired blonde.. full of energy. He's a barker but not a bitter. I laugh because I know if Nelle was still here.. I'm not sure she'd like that too much.lol..

I agree with everything you said and yes us doxie owners are a owned by their doxie..,LOL! Once you have gone doxie there is no turning back.
