Sweet Dear Lucky

Seeing you today as DOTD means so much to me. You Dewy and Herbie were some of the originals on DOTD. I certainly hope you have met up with your long time friends . Your mom still misses you but honors your memory by sharing her tremendous love

What a life Lucky!

I read your profile and thought WOW what a great life you had Lucky. You have left their lives but not their hearts. Just like others have said before me, I wish my boy Dewy could have enjoyed more years with us.

You sound like such a sweet boy, so happy you had such a long happy life. Our Sammy went to the Bridge before he was even 8 years old so to us, 17 sounds like a long time. But, I know, to the people who raised you and loved you 17 years is way too short. You are a great choice to be Doxie of the Day.

We still miss you and wish you were still with us. We brought much love and happiness in the years we shared with you. I know I will get to meet you someday over the bridge.

Lucky was Lucky!!

Your story of Lucky was very heartwarming. I just lost my dear boy almost two weeks ago. He was only 10. I wished I had him another 7 years like your boy. I am truly lost workout my Riley but your story put a smile on my face. Thank you.

I know you are greatly missed

Even though it has been over 2 years since you left us we all still miss you. I agree that both you and your mom were Lucky to have found each other and were able to spend 17 short years together. All my love

Angel

Lucky was certainly lucky! I had my Heidi for 16 years and she was my buddy since I was 4 years old! She passed in 2004 and I miss her everyday. They are probably playing around up there waiting for us! I have my two now that keep me up and running as well. In loving memory of our cute little angels!

Forever Love Lucky

What a touching story. He was a precious little guy.I know he brought you much joy as you did him. My Herbie is 12 yrs old and I pray I can hold on him for a long, long time. I am sure Lucky is happy that you are taking care of all those other little friends. If you ever get a chance read the book Wet Noses at the Pearly Gates. Very inspiring and helpful. Best to you and your family of Doxies.

Always in my heart

It is almost two years now since my Lucky has left me for Rainbow Bridge. I sure hope he is having a great time up there waiting on me to come pick him up. I think about him each and every day and my heart is still broken and empty without him. Though I have 5 Dachshunds now I love them all so very much. Lucky will never be forgotten and some day when we meet again he is going to have brothers and sisters that help ease the pain just a little bit. Lucky will alway be my heart and I am very thankful that I have been given 5 other dachshunds that need me and love me no matter what.
