Bonnie loves anything she can unstuff. Hopi likes to play with anything she has taken away from another dog.

Bonnie - in Mom's bed. Hopi - in her own bed under the covers.

Bonnie - thunder, hot air balloons, big dogs. Hopi - anyone who removes her from her bed.

Hi I'm Bonnie. Mom adopted me from the good folks at Central Texas Dachshund Rescue in 2008. I had been living with a family whose house was foreclosed upon. They moved out, leaving me in their back yard. Now I have a furever home and know I will never be left again. Mom says I am happy, sweet, smart, and funny.
Hi I'm Hopi. Mom also adopted me from Central Texas Dachshund Rescue in 2011. The name the rescue agency gave me is Hope but everyone calls me Hopi. The rescue agency and the vet's office think I was a breeding dog. Before I came to live with mom, I had several mammary tumors removed. After I came to live with mom I had a few more mammary tumors removed and 5 teeth removed because they were abscessed. I feel much better now and now see the vet regularly. Mom says I am very sweet and I give things a lot of thought before I do them. I love people and kids. Sometimes, if I get insecure or if I don't understand what's going on - or if you're near my bed - I growl and snarl but it's only because I'm feeling anxious. I roll on my back now and play with toys. My favorite thing to do is wait till my sister stops chewing her bone or playing with her toy then I dart out like a ninja and steal it.
