MacKenzie came to me as a 4 yr. old doxie from a backyard breeder last October. Apparently she would't "breed" so they had no use for her anymore...she was severly obese, which is surprising coming from a breeder....seriously, she could barely walk. MacKenzie was totally anti-social....she wouldn't even look at you...she would low crawl, hoping you wouldn't notice her. She did however get along with my other furbabiesl & she adjusted fairly quickly to lounging on the sofa & sleepin' in the bed...for a furbaby never bein' inside a house before....typical doxie!
Nine months later....she has come a looong way baby!!...she still has a ways to go, but it's all good! I can actually take a quick pic with the camera now....before she was terrified of the camera pointing at her...she's still not 100% comfortable with it. Regarding MacKenzie's weight...she is half the size she was before!....and I never even placed her on a diet....she has something to do now besides eat....like keepin' up with the other furbabies and the food I feed is holistic....she just lost all that weight due to that. She's not confident for going on walks...yet!...she'll get there eventually. She is super sweet and very quiet....she loves bein' made over & I remember the first time she gave me a kiss....I had her for about 1 month and I was in bed & had almost fell asleep, when I felt this lil' lick on my cheek....it was a different type of lil' kiss I didn't recognize....low & behold....it was MacKenzie!
We also gave her the new name "MacKenzie".....so her sad past could be behind her...and she immediatley took to her new name....it was definitely meant for her!

Little angel.....
Such a sad day for your family and everyone who loved you...God sent Michelle to you to love you and protect you. His plans for you now are a mystery to us all but know you are still loved and are missed...as I sit here and cry I can only hope you find my precious Salvadore and kiss him for me...you will like him...he loved the ladies...kisses for you little angel...rest in peace
