Cassidy is a 9-week old blind baby girl. A lady I had met, when I had my pet supply store at the market on the week-ends, contacted me Sunday and said, her female had a litter of puppies and she had caught a virus during pregnancy, and it resulted in Cassidy being born blind. But after some investigating, However, I found out she bred 2 dapples together and that resulted in the blindness. She said, they cannot keep her because they are going to start traveling and 3 was all they could handle. They knew I had a blind Chihuahua and knew I would know how to care for her.
I am enjoying the puppy breath....I love puppy breath! Cassidy is one confident lil' girl....she's not letting blindness hold her back!!!...she stands her ground and then some!! Seriously, I am amazed at her attitude....she is even tryin' to beat up my Giant Schnauzer....she does her puppy growl and just starts biting his furry feet, he tries to get away from her...but she just hangs on....it's super cute! It will be fun to watch her grow!
Update~
Cassidy is now 10 months old. And WOWZIEE does she have personality!! She loves meeting people and other pooches....you wouldn't know she was blind, except for when I take up a dog bed to wash and she runs over and jumps into an empty space and gets this look...like, where the heck did the bed go?? She is one tough cookie too....she won't take any sibling telling her what she can't do!! She's a travelin' girl too....I take her alot of places because she's eager to go and investigate....I want her to always maintain her amazing confidence. And she is a kissy girl....always eager to show affection to everyone she meets.
