Henry is a rare, silver-dappled, blue-eyed miniature dachshund. It was love at first sight when I first spotted him seven years ago; a 2.8 lb. wonder with eyes like headlights on bright, so tiny he lived in my sweatshirt to keep warm, more marsupial than canine. Now he sleeps under the blankets snuggled up close to me. A sweet, comical, brave, master sock-thief, Henrys truly my best friend (along with our other two dachshunds, of course, Daisy & Louis, Henrys posse).
