I know how much you must miss them, we lost our Sammy Jo in 2009 and I am still hurting, it's harder than I ever knew to lose a pet. Our Cory Jo just had an episode last week, not being able to get up the steps and I was so afraid it was going to be serious. I told my husband I Will NOT put him down if he needs surgery, we will find a way to pay. As it turned out, he did fine after some cortisone! When my Herbie was small I would always take him out on a leash and then reward him with treats and praise him for being such a "good boy". Doxie's will do anything for a treat and praise. Sorry about Livington and Zuri. I know they will always have a special place in your heart. Looking at your pictures is like looking at a picture of dachshunds in all shapes and sizes. Congratulations to you for taking in a rescue. I am sure you will be rewarded with true devotion for a lifetime.
