Max was a rescue from the shelter. After his owner died he was sent to the pound where I became aware of him through my work with animal rescue. I went to see him and even though he was scared & a little vicious (at the time) I knew he was a gem. I offered to foster him & quickly fell in love with his sweet personality so I adopted him myself.
He's a black & tan 14lb short-hair Dachshund who sits on his hind legs & begs with his front paws when he really wants something. It melts my heart every time.
We've had Max for at least 10 years now and he's getting old but still full of personality.
He's currently 12 yrs old.
