Pets are not disposable. They are family! That other family didn't deserve such a gorgeous creature; they don't know the meaning of love and loyalty, qualities inherent in this breed. Have patience, give lots of positive feedback, tell him you have faith in him (I had terrible aggression problems with Louis that were overcome with lots of work and love) and I know he'll find his place - and his peace. My mom adopted me from a local rescue agency. I had been left in the back yard by my first family when they moved out (I know......) and was picked up by a shelter. On my last day (mom says I don't need to know what that means), the shelter called the rescue agency to see if they could take me. They did, and about a month later, mom filled out an adoption application and we were placed together. Things may not have started very smoothly for either of us but sounds like they turned out great for both of us! It's nice you have Tulip to play with. (Mom has been considering getting another doxie but she has 2 cats as well so we may hold off for a bit). Oh, you know, I didn't play with toys either when I first came to my forever home, but now, I am ALL about the toys! Enjoy your new family and let me know how you're getting along, ok?
