In the last years of my Dad's life he had a toy white poodle name Daisy. Daisy was a wonderful pet, but the pet of our lives was Heidi, our doxie, and that is what he called Daisy most of the time. It got to the point that I would call her Heidi also. There is something special about the doxie breed. In ohio, pitts are considered automatically viscious and an owner is required to have them on a leash when outside or behind a 6 foot fence. They are aslo reqired to carry a 1$100,000 dollar insurance poicy. I had no problem for three years until a month go when 2 of them casme around the house and struck peanut. luckily, peanut dove under the car but the pitts knocked me down before I could get in. One of them started to bite peanut and I grabbed it by the neck and flung it off the porch. I dove on top of peanut and was screaming for help until the owner grabbed them off me.uckily, they weren't human agressive, they just wanted to nget at peanut. I called animal control and the humane society and the more agessive pitt was quarantined for 10 days. My neighbor then decided to give cleo to his brother in virginia, who lives on a farm. Please be careful, the owners last words always seem to be, he's a good dog, and wouldn't hurt a fly!! christine and peanut May 17, 2010 1:19 pm by Devra from Wayland, MI Proud owner of Joe Hey Daisey!Just a note...check out peanut wigglebutt's profile and read some of the comments there...her little girl was almost attacked by her neighbors pitbull. You may want to ask her what she did to finally get them to send that pit bull away. They can be scary around our little doxies! Gosh, a neighbor of my Mom's told me to watch out for hawks diving down to grab little dogs! Yikes! Although...my Mom's doxie is so FAT, the Hawk that tried would leave with his legs stuck unto her..ha ha! Just have to watch over our little ones all the time. They don't have a fence and are real lazy about putting the leash on sometimes. Ahhh! I just don't want anything to happen to my little dog.
