I agree with the Eastside Gang about the raw diet. I am on the Bravo beef patties myself and of course love them. My mom is happy because it is helping with keeping my skin allergy flare ups down. Alice eats 2 ounces less then Honey because of this. You have to monitor your Doxies while on the meals to figure out what's best for each. Doxies will eat anything you put in front of them, I personally never feed my dogs any chicken, as not a single dog would be capable of catching a bird in the wild unless that bird was injured or sick. With this in mind you have to figure out the calorie intake of your own Doxies needs and the actual calories for each meat. Beef has almost twice the calories of rabbit, venison, buffalo, or elk. Basically 1 pound of beef is almost equal in calories to 2 pounds of the other meats, but the cost of meat is opposite say like a chub of 2 pounds of rabbit is about the cost of 4 pounds or 2 chubs of beef. Just make sure you read all the labels and see what's inside the meats you use. Dogs eat different then us, they eat about 50% organs, 25% muscle, and 25% bone. Read about wolves and you'll see what I mean. Wolves and dogs share a lot more in common then just their 78 chromosomes, means they can mate with each other. When was the last time you saw a wolf cook it's food or carry around ancan opener? The more you learn, the healthier you pups will be.
