Yes, I have a new Mom and Dad all my very own. On January 26th, 2011 Charles and Cheryl from Arlington, TX came to pick us up. It's it wonderful, my gorgeous lady Freda got to come too! We are so very happy in our new "furever" home. Our Foster Mom and Dad were sad to see us go BUT so very happy they helped along the way.
My Name is Benny Von Teckle and being the life of the party is my entire purpose in life. When I was born they broke the mold on the "how to have a good time" because I AM THE ONE! For some reason though, my owner didn't want me anymore. I was dumped by the side of a very busy street. I was scared silly! Lonesome, scared and hungry I didn't think I had a chance. Some very nice lady found me and turned me over to dachshund rescue group. Phew! What a relief. I am sooooo happy again I can hardly stand it. I'm around 3.5 years old and about 8-9 lbs of all dachshund. Yes, I know I have funny ears but NOBODY is perfect! I make up for the funny ears by being the light of your life. Silly, funny, affectionate, ready to go ANY time you are. Rides very nice in the car and does dandy on my leash. Will play with toys but I have a "not-so-secret" to share........I found a BFF!!! Yeppers, and her name is Fraulein Freda Wienmeister. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE her. We play chase, wrestle around, tug, more chasing around, rolling around on floor together, more chasing around. I could go on forever. I am a sensitive little fella and it doesn't take anything at all to get me to behave. I truly want to please you. I know how to use the doggie door and do my best to not have those "accidents" in the house. Oh yea, Mom says to tell you I "don't lift my leg"....whatever that means. This was my introduction to Fraulein Freda Wienmeister. We just love one another to pieces. She's my BFF for sure! I REALLY like this foster home.

Mom just doesn't let up on the camera thing! Here we are trying to "commune with nature" outside on the patio. From left to right.....Abby my foster sister, ME!, my BFF Freda and my foster brother Banjo. We are missing 2 but they just didn't want to chill outside right now.

Guarding Dad - Safe on all Fronts!
We have to be very careful. Dad manages to "escape" frequently so we designed a plan to keep track of him. Freda and Winston (not in the shot) take the far left. Banjo guard left side, I get the middle, Abby takes the right side and Mrs.Sissy ensures no invades attack from the far right. Okay, I think we've got it now
