Watson is no longer with us, but I have noted others posting some of their special dogs past. He was 13 and its been about a year since we had to say good-bye, but Watson was a class act all the way. Everyone said he was one of the great ones.
He was my first, I always wanted a Dachshund and have always had a thing for all things "scruffy looking" so I got a wire hair. My husband wasn't sure he wanted a Dachshund, but Watson quickly endeared himself to him by catching a rodent in his machine shop. Watson became his shaddow and they had the occasion to go track deer togther. He was a big sweetheart, always game to ride shotgun in the truck, go to the beach, hiking, camping boating whatever. He set a very high bar for those who followed behind him, but h will alwys be in our hearts.
