Well, Bailey and Cooper are doing well. Once Cooper was taught who the QUEEN DIVA is their relationship smoothed out -haha
Turkey poop seems to have become his permanent scent. I have never bathed a dog as much as Cooper. I'm surprised his hair isn't falling out. Little booger loves to roll in Turkey poop. Dogs can be so gross.
They are two monsters that's for sure.
05/2016 - 10 months 14.5 pounds
Things are going more smoothly now that we have adjusted to the "puppy" energy level and we have all been through some training. Bailey and Cooper love to antagonize each other and poor Coop hasn't caught on to Bailey's antics. Yes, she uses the DIVA on him often. Cooper barks but is not vocal when he plays. Bailey sounds like an attack dog when she plays. He is my first male dog as well as one with legs and it is odd -hahaha
I am use to carrying and loading and unloading dogs. He just gets where he wants to. So he won't need to learn to talk doxie I guess.
His only fear is my moms cat. The cat wants to play and Cooper freaks out. He takes off like a screaming banchee. You would think he was being tortured when the cat even looks at him. The cat LOVES it! It is pretty entertaining to the rest of us as well. Sorry Coop. Although my heart stopped each time he did this for awhile. Now we just look at each other and say the cat found Cooper. haha
Since losing my Macy in August the house just hasn't been the same. Although She will always have a big piece of my heart being my first baby girl. I miss that energy she brought to our home.
So, Bailey and I did a trial adoption with Cooper. Bailey did not make the first week easy. I had to test her to see if she really wanted him to stay. I had my niece take him to see how she would react. Well, she sat and whimpered for the 15 minutes he was gone. He came back in and she has been fine ever since. We got him on 12/11/15 and officially adopted him on 12/18 so he is our Christmas present.
He's also so soft. There isn't a toy he doesn't like. Hopefully all will continue to go well.

I am so happy to see you as DOTD. You brought a spark that was gone after Macy passed over the bridge. I am so glad Bailey gave the approval for you to become part of such a loving family. You are as cute as can be and look so happy. So much joy to have you as DOTD. A special thanks to your mom for updating you and Bailey's status. We will for ever remember Macy. Thanks for being part of our dachshund family of friends. Enjoy your day handsome boy
