Dieter and Ace were born Oct 1, 2008, We have a friend who has a daschund that we love, so we contacted the breeder and found brothers Dieter and Ace. Their mother was Molly Sue a longhaired and father, Lil Mr. Peanut was shorthaired. Dieter is longhaired and mostly red with some black on his ears. Ace is a brindle shorthaired and red underhair and black tips. My grandaughter, Ann, only wanted a dog for Christmas but we made the mistake of taking my grandson, Jacob, the first time we went to see the litter to pick one. By the time we picked up Dieter we were also picking up Ace for Jacob. Dieter eats everything and is growing fast. Ace mostly like treats and is going to stay small. Ace is obviously the Alpha Dog and tries to hide all the toys. He needs to learn to share. Ann has taught them to sit and leave it but can't figure out how to tell them to get it. If you can't find Dieter all you have to yell is sit and he comes running for a treat. Although lots of work for all of us they are a great joy. Our two cats may disagree.
