Those coats my girls are wearing are fleece, doubled up. I made them to fit the girls. If you want to try to make something, when you pick out some fleece (bet there's a bunch of fleece in the fabric store for fall) notice which way the fleece will stretch. You don't want the stretch to go head to tail, because it will pull out of shape when they pull. It's better if the stretch runs shoulder to shoulder. Does that make sense? Anyway, a nice denim with fleece on the inside is probably a better way to go, for warmth and durability. If you don't sew, you might want to visit this sight. I ordered a couple of sweatshirts from there and it's nice to have their chest covered, especially since my Georgia is such a low rider and she gets cold so fast if her chest gets wet or snow on it. I have lost weight so I am not as much for Lady to carry now. She says it is her upper body work out. She also wants to find us a new flat on the ground floor with a small yard (the only kind they have here) or the top floor with a nice big balcony for me. Of course, that would mean she'd have to carry me up 4 to 6 flights, but I would have the whole roof to play on. Maybe we can find a ground floor. Thanks for your kind words. I only destroy my toys and, like you, I like to play with them after thay are flat. Sometimes, there are so many innards on the living room floor, it looks like it is covered in clouds.
