We got Hattie in 2003...she chose us! The guy we got her from put her and her sister in front of us and Hattie walked right up to us, she was ready to go home! Her name means "ruler of the house" and she definitely lives up to it!
She loves to cuddle and gets jealous if something else is in her lap space (ie laptop). Hattie is the nosiest dog ever, set a purse or backpack down on the ground she will dig around in it for goodies. She hides all her goodies (you know for later)...sometimes when you shake out dirty laundry you'll find mini bones and other assorted doggie treats...occasionally you'll even find a goodie in bed!
Hattie is also pretty rotten...don't leave any food out where she could reach and definitely pick up coffee mugs she loves her some coffee! She hates closed doors and will sit outside a closed door and bark until someone opens it...the whole house is Hattie's house...even though she shares it with two other (larger) dogs, she holds her own!
Hattie has so many nicknames...Mouth, Cuddles, Boo (when she was a puppy she used to hide in the bathroom and whenever someone walked by she would come out and attack ankles).

It so nice to see Hattie honored today as DOTD, no doubt the loving memories will live on. She left a paw print on the hearts of those who knew her. RIP Sweet Hattie
