She took the pictures cause she didn't trust me! Or something like that. Mom and Dad noticed that you are from CA. They chuckled over that because Mom lived in Southern CA (Orange County) for 29 years. Reluctantly Mom and Dad relocated to Texas in 2004. Mom still misses it vey much. I check every mornig to make sure she isn't packing her suitcase to escape. I know she wouldn't leave without Dad and the rest of us so I think we're safe for now. Mom, Dad and the rest of us are very active in Dachshund rescue here in TX. We volunteer for a non-profit organization that works with pure breed teckels. Last year over 250 were placed by our group. Drop by any ol' time. Nice to have friends. Momma spoils me 364 days a year so I have to put up with her "pet" projects on the annual kent ohio doxie picnic. All my costumes are home-made and the cleopuptra costume made me a star! I was on tv last october becuz I won our local tv station's halloween costume contest! My momma says google her name and she only shows up on a couple websites. We thought that was really nice of her to share them with us! We did some eatting, a lot of napping and just generally hung out with Mom. It was too warm to do much outside. And I have some black hairs on my tail. Aside from the slight difference in color, we could be bookends! I do like to chase me some bunnies. :) The adults don't move till I'm almost on them and then they run me around the yard 2 or 3 times and then escape through the slats in the fence. The nerve! We have quite a few creatures where I live, although it is in a subdivision. We've had bunnies (of course) geckos, frogs, bats (ok, 1 bat and it didn't have a head, but it makes a better story), rats, mice, and snakes (the garden-variety, I hope). We have a decent-sized back yard so there's lots to explore. I also have to protect mom from the big dogs on our walks. I hope you are staying cool this summer. We have small(ish) brown field bunnies where I live and they have the nerve to show up in my yard at dusk and dawn. This morning, I flushed one out of the shrubs. Boy was that fun! (Especially because mom said there wasn't one but I found him!) I'm so glad you found a home where you're loved so much (as you should be :) ).
