Hi, ya'll! My name is Sara Dean Dachshund, but you can call me Sara. Like my 'sister' Josie, I am a DRNA rescue. My original dad passed away from cancer, and I was pretty sad and confused. Fortunately, it wasn't long before my new mom called my foster mom to say that Josie needed a sidekick ASAP. Within days, I was living in style in my new home! I am your typical high-strung, yappy lap dog, and I tried to start a few spats with my sister, Josie, but she always turned the other cheek. She is the best big sister a gal could have! (As long as there's no food around!)
So what's the story behind my name? Mom has no clue. She tells me that I must be named after the sausage king, Jimmy Dean. (I wonder if I'm entitled to some free sausage?!?)
**UPDATE 02/02/11** Hey, everybody! Today is my birthday. I'm 11 years old, but mom swears that I don't look a day over 10. ;)
