Max, was dumped in a neighborhood during cold weather. Two girls hid him in a garage when the pound was hunting for him and then they posted online. Weezer Bob Goodin sent the post to me and I in turn contacted the girls. Had him in my arms and on the way to the vet about an hour after I saw the picture. His breath was horrible, no hair on his back part of the way up from his rump and the infection was so bad in his mouth that he had green stuff coming out his eyes. The vet immediately put him on antibiotics and after about a week thanks to Bella's Fund he had his dental and they pulled 5 teeth. He now only has 4 teeth (canines) in his mouth, but that doesn't affect his eating. He has had 3 rounds of antibiotics and his eyes have cleared up. He is partially blind, but he still roams all over the yard. They estimate his age at nothing under 12. He is such a happy little guy and has actually lost about 2 pounds, but needs to drop several more pounds. Now that he feels better we have started walk slowly to get the weight off. Senior Dachshunds rock.
