I was the meanest dog at the shelter! My name is Betsey Ann and I'm 5 years old. I was an very angry dog and I hated men! I was found at the park down on my back and in alot of pain. I would not let anyone touch me or get close to me, esp. men. No one at the shelter could reach me. Thank God, my daddy did not believe that! For two weeks this man, would come visit me everyday, sit in the kennel with me and talk. I would bark and try to bite him! He put treats on the floor and I would eat them, but keep my eye on him. After a week, I began to eat treats from his hand! I still barked and try to bite him. After two weeks, this man found me asleep and curl up on the cot with me and petted me through the blanket! It felt
so good! I finally let him pet me. I knew then, that this was a good man! The next day, the shelter gave him to me! the shelter told my new daddy that it appeared that I was abused. I went home with this man. he had three brothers for me! A big house and a clean bed. he cleaned me up, took me to the vet the next day. I had a steriod shot and my back became better and I was up and running! I love my home, and I walk the length of the fence every morning and evening, keeping an eye on my home. I protect my daddy and my brothers. my daddy bought me some dresses, which Ii wear, but I'm a more of a tom boy! My daddy calls me his "Warrior princess"!!!!!!

I can't believe that it has been 7 yrs, Betsey Ann is about 12 now. She is great and is the protector of the family, a sweetie and a princess
