My husband and I and our son were ready to adopt our second Dachshund about mid October 2014. We looked for breeders in our area and found a breeder who had a female Dapple Dachshund that was pregnant and due on Thanksgiving! I was super excited and kept in touch every other week to see if Tank was born and finally on 11/25/2014 our baby boy and his two sisters were born. The following Sunday my son and I and my father went to see our very tiny baby 2 hours away. I couldn't drive fast enough and when we got there I was greeted and taken to Tank and his momma. I cried, they were the size of hamsters! He was a precious fragile little guy but my son, my father and myself all held him and fell in love with our small boy. I was so sad that I have to wait 5 more weeks to bring him home to be spoiled rotten!

Tank at 20 days old.
Tanks 21 days old today!! His eyes are open and he's walking a little. Its hard to tell what color his eyes are in the new photo. This is his Christmas photo and he looks so big in the photo but he's only a little over a pound. 5 weeks and 3 days till he comes home!
