When we lost our last smooth dachshund, our vet told us that wires were less likely to have skin problems, so we searched the internet for wires. We found Sadie in the Bay Area when she was about 9 weeks old. Bailey, our standard poodle, mothered Sadie and put up with her little teeth on her ears, her legs, etc. and they became good buddies. Sadie loves riding in the car and in our RV. Rest stop pet areas are great!
Bailey, our poodle, died a bit over a year ago, and we have a new poodle, Mila, to keep Sadie company. Mila loves to chew on Sadie's ears and Sadie climbs into Mila's bed and tries to destroy it. But they're friends and miss each other when one of them is gone.
