Macy is allergic to just about everything but mom. Grass, weeds, trees, bees and the list goes on. We do our allergy shot every two weeks and it has worked wonderfully. Once the summer weather arrives. The only vacation we have taken was to Lake Tahoe and it was nice. Lots of pet friendly places to rent and outdoor restaurants that cater to and allow dogs. You are up to a pack a day - too funny! Mom doesn't give me dingos anymore though. I literally would try to inhale them and choked and scared mom so no more. I get the marrow bones from the butcher now because I needed something to hold up against my strong jaw. They work great and I have pearly whites too. Haven't had any dental at all so far. Dad is taking good care of us, just pushing his raw meat diets on fellow Doxie owners after he saw how important it was for our little breed especially. Alice had a reaction to the rabies vaccine over a month ago, this Tuesday will be the 4th testing at $160.00 each. Most people test their dogs during an examination before the vaccines are administered. I am confident Alice's liver will return to normal soon (some dogs take up to 6 months to return to normal). It information like this that got the rabies changed originally to 3 years fromm the annual rabies. Someone has to be a prick to the vet community. Only by educating people one at a time can we save more animals. Most people don't even know that 40,000 dogs and cats died in 2008 from their livers exploding. All that did is have the EPA look into all "spot-on drop applications" and not a single recalled product. Can we say pharmaceutical companies run the vet field?? Just keep doing the right thing for Sabrett and she'll be just fine. Thanks again, maybe the laws will change soon, just maybe! My diet has hit a wall since the weather has cooled off and the critters are no longer around for me to chase. I went from 20 lbs to 16.5 which was awesome! Mom was hoping I would get to 15 but that didn't happen. Not so sure my figure will ever be of the slender doxie type. Plus, I love to eat whatever I can get people anywhere I go to give me. Mom's hoping she can keep me where I am and not plump up over the winter. It is now cold and raining here. Mom cannot get me to run around the house much, I see no fun in that - booooring! My energy level is way up and with figuring out the allergy issues (Allergic to everything outside it seems and shots at home now - no more steriods etc..) change in diet (verus) and the chasing critters I'm the healthiest I have ever been. I average about 4 to 5 vet visits a year and so far we have only had the regular annual one. Mom's loving it and so am I. I just hope I can stay trim until my regular annual vet visit in March. Mom's hoping the winter doesn't get to me. So glad you stopped in. Are you up to anything fun this summer?
