We got Calvin 3.5 years ago as a puppy and he has been the greatest joy to have around; he is our little boy. He follows us around and always wants to be as close to us as possible. He is happiest when he is asleep with us on the couch under a blanket. He is a very protective little guy too, he doesn't want anyone to mess with his maw and paw. He is our first dachshund and won't be the last, we are hooked!

It's funny how brave you and your fellow doxies are protecting your family from strangers. Our boys keep close watch on their yard also, with loud barks as warnings to all that dare to enter! Congrats on the DOTD honor Calvin...WHOOF!!!
