I didn't know him when this was taken but I saw the same concern in his eyes even when he was young.

Even though Maxi is no longer with us, (Oct. 13, 2009) I would like to share the pictures of him that I have. I am in the process of looking for another doxie but I'm having a hard time finding one for me. Maxi was old when I got him, his daddy was very sick when I met Max and the month his dad died Maxi was by his side the whole time, barely wanted to go for walks, very dedicated. His dad did not seem to have made provisions for Max and as I looked at the people around him I felt I should be the one to take him (no one else deserved him). It was one of the best decisions I had ever made!. Maxi stepped right into my routine never looking back. He was able to go to my work with me all family events and everyone loved Maxi. I remember when I walked up the steps of the mobile home my thoughts were "yappy a-- dachshund", little did I know I would fall in love! The photos I would like to submit are in memorial of one of the best "yappy a-- dachshunds I have ever met".

Maxi's memorial to me
My friend wrote the words for my Maxi and they helped me ease my grief. I hope when reading them they will help others, her sentiments really hit the spot. Thank you Mel.

Thanks
Thanks for directing me to your Maxi's page. It's hard to believe that my Baxter passed away almost 3 years ago and I felt all the emotions rise up when he was doxie of the day on this site's homepage. The Memorial left by your friend for Maxi was great. May you and Bert live many long wonderful years together until you all join Maxi again.

Hi Maxi
Please know that even though you are gone your spirit still lives on in your mamma. I lost my Otis only 3 months ago and I know he is still with me and always will! peace and angels be with you
