We got Jenkins from a great local rescue- Long Dog Dachshund Rescue- in August 2010! They estimate that he's around 2 years old. I just happened to stumble upon his picture, and KNEW he was the one for us!! We picked him up the next weekend. Jenkins is a tweenie- about 14 pounds. He loves to play and chase squirrels and eat bugs. He likes to go on walks with us and check out everything along the way. At the end of the day he'll curl up on the couch and watch TV with Mom & Dad. Jenkins was recently diagnosed with IVDD...so we're doing everything we can to make sure he is comfortable and pain-free. And in return he is the most loving dog we could ever ask for!
